We express our solidarity with our comrade from Izquierda Socialista (Socialist Left, IS) currently facing persecution by the Argentinian state:
Today, 30 September 2026, the Federal Police searched the homes of Mariano Soria, a Socialist Left- LF (Izquierda Socialista- Frente de Izquierda) leader, and another comrade from our organisation. They did so to “gather evidence” (leaflets, magazines, PCs, cell phones) to accuse them of “antisemitic” conduct. Our party has long supported the Palestinian cause and condemned the Gaza genocide, as shown by our recent involvement in the Global Sumud Flotilla delivering aid in 2025 and 2026. Opposing Zionism does not mean that someone is being antisemitic.
The Rosario “Action for Palestine” Assembly (of which our party is a member), National Deputy Myriam Bregman, and other Frente de Izquierda leaders have already issued statements condemning this action.
We call for the broadest possible unity to halt these abuses and condemn the persecution of those fighting for the Palestinian cause—in this instance, two comrades from Izquierda Socialista. They will neither silence nor intimidate us.
